The Lockpost steel fence post is the latest in a series of developments which have historically revolutionised fencing over the years.
From the invention of barbed wire by Joseph F. Glidden of Dekalb, Illinois in 1874 through the development of wire netting, treated pine posts, steel pickets, ringlock and electric fencing the Australian fencing industry is now being revolutionised by the Lockpost steel fence post.
Conceived from frustration with the conventional steel picket the concept of the Lockpost was first sketched in the dust 5 years ago. The idea developed into prototypes which were painstakingly crafted by hand and tested in the field until we got it just right.
The Lockpost steel picket does away with pulling wires through holes in the post or tying each wire to the post. Simply run all the wires out, strain them up and glide them into the slots then slip the locking bar over them in one simple move all wires are secure.
If you are using ringlock or hinged joint you can hang the wire on a few posts along the strain then once you have it fully strained simply guide it straight into the correctly positioned slots on each post. Slip the Lockpost locking bar over the edge of the post and it is all done!
